Preparamos un resumen con la información más importante que debes conocer de las Pruebas ICFES Saber 11°.
Estas pruebas tienen como objetivo medir el nivel de desarrollo de los conocimientos que tienen los estudiantes próximos a graduarse de undécimo grado.
Están compuestas por las siguientes 5 competencias, con su respectiva cantidad de preguntas:
- Matemáticas – 50 preguntas.
- Lectura crítica – 41 preguntas.
- Sociales y ciudadanas – 50 preguntas.
- Ciencias naturales – 58 preguntas.
- Inglés – 55 preguntas.
Siendo en total 278 preguntas de opción múltiple con única respuesta, de las cuales 254 preguntas evalúan las competencias anteriores, y 24 preguntas corresponden a un cuestionario socioeconómico que tiene fines investigativos por lo que no tiene calificación.
Las pruebas evalúan una serie de competencias donde se pide a los estudiantes aplicar sus conocimientos en la solución de problemas. A continuación te explicamos qué evaluarán en cada módulo de competencias:
Lectura crítica
Este módulo evalúa las capacidades de entender, interpretar y tomar posturas críticas frente a un texto.
Se centra en las siguientes tres competencias:
- Identificar y comprender el significado de las partes que conforman un texto, como frases y expresiones.
- Comprender cómo se enlazan las partes de un texto para darle un sentido global.
- Reflexionar a partir de un texto y evaluarlo de forma crítica.
Matemáticas
Este módulo busca que el estudiante utilice las matemáticas como una importante herramienta para la comprensión y solución de diversas situaciones.
Se centra en evaluar las siguientes competencias:
- Interpretación y representación de datos cuantitativos en distintos formatos: tablas, gráficos, esquemas, diagramas etc.
- Formulación y ejecución de la solución a un problema.
- Argumentación, en donde se sustente la validez de la solución propuesta y el cómo se llegó a esta.
Este módulo incluye tres categorías de conocimientos:
- Estadística.
- Geometría.
- Álgebra y cálculo.
Sociales y ciudadanas
Este módulo evalúa la comprensión que tiene el estudiante de su mundo social, siendo consciente de su rol como ciudadano.
Se centra en las siguientes tres competencias:
- Pensamiento social, que se refiere al conocimiento de la Constitución.
- Interpretación y análisis de perspectivas, en donde se evalúa la capacidad de reconocer diversas opiniones y posturas frente a una problemática y el análisis de sus argumentos.
- Pensamiento reflexivo y sistémico, en donde el estudiante debe comprender una realidad social entendiendo todas las dimensiones que la conforman y evaluar la aplicabilidad de una posible solución.
Ciencias naturales
Este módulo está compuesto por 4 temáticas, que son: biología, física, química, y ciencia tecnología y sociedad.
Evalúa las siguientes tres competencias:
- Uso del conocimiento científico, que evalúa la capacidad de relacionar las teorías con los fenómenos que suceden en la cotidianidad.
- Explicación de fenómenos, a través del uso de argumentos y modelos.
- Indagación, el cual busca que el estudiante a partir de sus conocimientos científicos, formule nuevas preguntas y soluciones.
Inglés
Este módulo evalúa la habilidad para comunicarse de forma efectiva en inglés.
Se busca que el estudiante sea capaz de completar conversaciones, leer artículos y responder a preguntas en donde necesita comprender una situación.
Estos módulos se evaluarán durante las 2 sesiones que componen las pruebas Saber 11, cada una de las cuales tiene una duración de 4 horas y 30 minutos.
